A special on-site meeting at Applebee's Park has been set for Wednesday Sept 10th for all interested in seeing the venue for event.
Our final planning meeting has been set for Wednesday Sept 15th, 2010 at the PNC Bank at Main and Deweese at 6:30 p.m. Conference room on second floor, right off the pedway from the garage. Click here for a map. Everyone is invited.

Award winning artist, Marjorie Guyon has generously donated 4 original paintings to benefit JustFundKY. The title of this series is AMO/TE and they are availbe for purchase upon request. From the artist: When I first started thinking about this project, I knew that at the center it was going to be a project of and about love. I work in collage, which loosely means I put one thing over something else. I layer images, pigment and marble dust and build a painting—much the way we build our lives —layer over layer, year over year. For this project, I was looking for an ancient way to say "I love you". I chose Latin—the language Gods used to woo mortals—the language of Cicero, Ovid, and Virgil.

From the artist: I consider my work to be grand souvenirs of the earthly carnival. They are created from junk, broken toys, found objects, industrial refuse, recyclable materials, clocks, eye glasses, false teeth, xmas decorations, letter openers, swizzle sticks, wire, seashells, paint, pieces of old rubber tires, rusty bed springs and many more ingredients not the least of which is magical bits of loved ones who have gone before
